I am totally against your threatened closure of the Fylde Borough swimming pools.
I think in the present day with state of the population's obesity it is your moral obligation to support all public forms of exercise with swimming being one of the best types.
I also think it is wrong to remove the use of the swimming pools from the public because they offer a training facility for sport, I would use the baths myself if the opening hours were more user friendly.
The Fylde borough have never made full use of the facilities with in the pool complex, if you added a gym in the rooms you do not use you would draw lots more custom.
Why not hold sporting events based around our pool, such as the triathlon Mr T Armit has organised over the last two years?
You could use the facility to run Aquathlons, which require very little in organisation with it being a swim then a run, all this would bring in more money and visitors to the Fylde.
Are we not a holiday resort?
It certainly looks like we will be a resort without facilities if the council gets it way to cut the budget.
Again I implore you to keep the pools of the Fylde open.
