THE RSPCA has said the police are investigating reports of a dog being deliberately set off lead to attack a cat.
The attack reportedly happened on Broad Ing on Sandylands in Kendal.
The RSPCA and police are asking people with information to contact the police on 101 or crime stoppers.
In a post, the RSPCA said: "We have had a report of a dog being deliberately set off lead to attack a cat on Broad Ing on Sandylands in Kendal.
"This has been caught on camera. We can not comment further as the police are investigating.
"We would advise anyone with cats in the area to keep your gates closed or create a safe place where your cat can escape to if needed.
"If anyone has information on the perpetrators then please call the police on 101 or crime stoppers."
