KENDAL residents have thanked Kendal Rugby club for putting on a 'superb' firework display this year in the run-up to Bonfire night.
Hundreds turned up to Mint Bridge on Friday (November 3) from 5pm to the event which also had Taylor's funfair and many local food and drink vendors.
Admission was just £2 and was free for under twos. It came together thanks to the volunteer social committee, the rugby club's partners, staff team and rugby community along with the town's business community.
Afterwards, Facebook users also came out in their hundreds on the Kendal Rugby Club to comment to say how great the night was.
One man said: "Well done to absolutely everyone involved. Kendal needs more nights like this. Kendal Rugby Club, you have done your town and community proud, a fantastic evening."
One woman said: "Brilliant , a fantastic night for Kendal Rugby Club well done to all the organisers and a huge thank you to all that came and supported or local club."
Another man added: "Thanks for a great night and the meal was great value."
