Fratellis plan to set stage alight

The Fratellis have joked they're planning on "setting things on fire" during their upcoming tour.

The Scottish rockers complained that festival organisers haven't been able to fulfil their strange request this summer, but they are more hopeful when they go on their own tour, which takes place in the US in September and October, and the UK in November.

Speaking at Leeds Festival, Jon Fratelli said: "It should be good - we're sort of working on ideas for setting lots of things on fire, which is what we tried to do for festivals but they've got loads of rules and they wouldn't let us.

"Most of our ideas tend to involve setting something on fire so we're trying to do (it). We couldn't do it as festivals so we're trying to do it for this tour - set roadies on fire and stuff and just see how they take it," he joked.

Jon also said they wanted to give the proceeds of their single Look Out Sunshine to the Teenage Cancer Trust so they wouldn't "annoy rich people into giving money".

"We've been trying lots of other little things and it usually involves getting rich people to part with their cash," he explained. "But we thought, 'well it can't just be us annoying rich people into giving money', so we decided there and then to make sure that the record label would give the proceeds away."
