A mountain rescue team in the Lake District will be celebrating a landmark birthday this weekend.
Patterdale MRT are hosting an open day at their based in Ogilvie House on Sunday, May 5 to mark 60 years of service in the area.
This will run between 10:00am and 4:00pm, giving visitors a chance to witness the work they have been doing over the decades.
A spokesperson from Patterdale MRT commented: "The sun is going to shine so please head down to our base at Patterdale and meet the team and see our work through the years."
Along with cakes and refreshments, visitors will be given a guided tour of the rescue centre, as well as getting a view of the new rescue boat.
The Land Rovers the team use on a regular basis will also be on full display.
It is set to be an entertaining and educational day, looking back on the group's formation back in 1964.
